Clear Lake’s annual Christmas by the Lake, Dec. 7-8

It’s time to get those calendars marked for the annual Christmas by the Lake celebration. The award-winning event will be held Dec. 7, kicking off a season filled with Christmas Spirit for all Clear Lakers, and any other visitors, to enjoy.
As usual, One Vision will begin the weekend of fun with their Festival of Trees, a fundraiser to help provide services to individuals supported by One Vision.
Saturday and Sunday, the churches, businesses and the Chamber will host a wide variety of activities for your Holiday enjoyment.  The full schedule of events is below:
Saturday, Dec. 7
8:30 a.m. Cookie Walk/Coffee/Cinnamon Rolls at the United Methodist Churc.h
9 a.m.-4 p.m. Holiday Bazaar and Face Painting at the Senior Citizens Center. A maid rite lunch with be served, with proceeds going to Toys for Tots.
10:30 a.m.-3 p.m. Indoor Nativity Scene Displays at Clear Lake Regular Baptist Church. Free Coffee, Cider, Punch and Cookies.
11 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Soup and Sandwich Lunch with Pie at the United Methodist Church.
11 a.m. Matinee at the Lake Theatre. Free admission with a donation to the local Food Bank.
11:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. Petting Zoo and Pony Rides at City Park.
11 am.-3 p.m. Simply Nourished European-Style Outdoor Market, featuring local artisans, entertainment, and traditional food and beverages on N. 3rd St., along City Park.
1-4 p.m. Free S’Mores and Christmas Karaoke, 400 Block of Main; Free Main Street Trolley Rides.
1:30-4 p.m. Santa’s Workshop Festival at the Blackbox Theatre at The Hub on N. 5th St.
2-4:30 p.m. Horse Drawn Sleigh/Carriage Rides. Boarding at Wilcox Furniture and Ge-Jo’s; Warming House, popcorn and hot drinks at Farmer’s State Bank, 210 1st Ave. N.
2-5 p.m. Strolling Dicken’s Characters.
5 p.m. Lighted Christmas by the Lake Parade; Spectacular fireworks finale off the seawall following the parade.
7 p.m. Christmas with the Holy Rocka Rollaz at The Surf Ballroom.
Sunday Dec. 8
11 a.m. Matinee at the Lake Theatre. Free admission with a donation to the local Food Bank.
12:30 p.m. Polar Bear Dip at City Beach.
1-4 p.m. Visit with Santa at City Park
1 p.m. Treasure Hunt at the Lakeview Room.
2 p.m. Messiah Sing with a concert by NordKor Children’s Choir at the United Methodist Church.
Even in the cold, it’ll be a beautiful weekend to be at the lake.
