Ølfest winter celebration at Worth Brewing, Feb. 1

Date:
Saturday, February 1, 2020 (All day)

Join Worth Brewing Company for Ølfest, a Scandinavian-inspired celebration of winter, Saturday, Feb. 1. We embrace the cold with robust brews, warm food and lively music from noon to 11 p.m. in the Tap Room on Central Ave. in Northwood.
This year, Worth Brewing brewed a strong lager for release at 7 p.m. Friday, Ølfest Eve, in conjunction with the Worth Wort Wingding homebrew challenge. Come see the judging and get your Ølfest El Dorado Bock before this limited brew is gone by Saturday night.
They also begin a tradition of releasing the current vintage of Brunhilde Belgian Strong Dark ale officially at Ølfest. The 2020 Vintage has been aging for months and will be available on tap and in 22-ounce bombers beginning at noon. Special vintage-packs of two bottles of 2018, 2019 and 2020 six-packs will be available exclusively from the Tap Room beginning Tuesday, Feb. 4.
The Ølfest food offerings are always made fresh in Northwood and feature Potato Fest Dogs, red cabbage and spaetzli with butter or gravy.
The Ølfest Puck Hunt and Beer Poking originated with this winter fest and is eagerly awaited each year. They will also have hammerschlagen and giveaways all day.
The Dobbins Creek Boys, Terry Schmidt and Lee Bjorndal, take the helm and sail onward to Ølfest from 5-8 p.m. You’ll enjoy their eclectic mix of pop, country and occasionally goofy tunes.
